Milos performs around 100 open heart surgeries annually, some of the most complex surgeries in medicine. The nature of his work involves daily tasks under tremendous pressure, immense responsibility, and the necessity to make decisions that determine the fate of patients’ lives. Teamwork, precision, clear organization, and discipline are essential qualities for someone working in this demanding field of medicine.
As a specialist doctor with extensive knowledge and experience, he has also been a speaker at over 60 major international congresses in the field of cardiovascular medicine. In addition to speaking in Serbian, he also gives talks in English and French.

Dr. Milos Matkovic is a specialist in cardiothoracic surgery, a subspecialist in transplantology, a Master and Doctor of Medical Sciences, and an assistant professor at the Department of Surgery at the Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade.
He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade and completed his specialization in cardiothoracic surgery at the Pierre and Marie Curie University in Paris (University of Sorbonne) and the Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade. He has worked at HEGP in Paris, one of the best European clinics for cardiothoracic surgery, and for the past 12 years has been working at the University Clinical Center of Serbia in Belgrade.
He is a member of the European Working Group for Cardiovascular Medicine in Aviation (European Association for Cardio-Thoracic Surgeons – EACTS), which sets rules for heart surgery in pilots and cabin crew.
He is also a member of the French Association of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgeons (SFCTV) and many others.
He is a professional and business consultant for Centerline BioMedical, one of the most successful startups of the Cleveland Clinic (the world’s largest cardiovascular clinic) in the field of endovascular aortic surgery.
He is the recipient of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce Award for the best doctoral dissertations at universities in Serbia. He is the author of more than 30 papers in foreign and domestic medical literature.
